August 31, 2021

Field trips are excellent learning channels to help students know more about the world around them. With the changes brought on by the pandemic, The Ajinomoto Virtual Experience: Be More offers a new take on educational tours. It’s an innovative way for the Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation Group (APC Group) to uniquely tell our story and share our corporate practices and manufacturing processes.

It is a virtual experience that is specially designed for students of all ages and homemakers, but all are welcome to try it out. You can expect a unique and fully immersive experience on your laptops or mobile phones. Expect to engage with different activities and fun games and learn more about sustainability and food preparation among other things. More interactive and educational—The Ajinomoto Virtual Experience: Be More offers more than your typical virtual tour.

A Learning Experience Like No Other

You have to create an online account to access the guided tour. Once registered, you are taken to five stations of the company’s virtual community: Supermarket, Factory, Office, Cooking Plaza, and Community.

You will receive a digital certificate at the end of the tour, making it a fulfilling and genuine field trip experience for everyone.

Learn how Ajinomoto’s Products Became Part of Filipino’s Food Culture

Since the supermarket is where people usually find Ajinomoto’s products, the supermarket station is an excellent starting point to know more about the company. You can have a brief look into our history and the Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value (ASV), an in-depth explanation of how the iconic ‘Ajinomoto’ logo came to be, and interesting facts about our currently marketed products.

Expect to be entertained with nostalgic TVCs such as the ‘Tak, Tak, Mmmm…’ and the latest ones featuring popular local celebrities, created for the AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning. Our flagship brand paved the way for more Ajinomoto products to become cooking staples in countless Filipino homes.

Safety and Quality at The Factory

This guided tour won’t be complete without the popular factory tour. At Ajinomoto, we pride ourselves on upholding safety for everyone in our manufacturing plant—from factory employees to onsite visitors. The factory shows you how AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning, the Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) brand of Ajinomoto, is made step-by-step.

The next stage takes you into an exciting and insightful journey through the raw and packaging materials, laboratory, production area, and distribution center. At the final part of the factory tour, watch how the company integrates safety through our quality management system and practices sustainability using the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in all aspects of manufacturing.

Know More About the Japanese 5S

Before Marie Kondo popularized her way of organizing homes on Netflix, Japan has been known for its organization method called 5S commonly practiced in corporate settings which comes from five Japanese words: Seiri (Sort), Seiton (Set in order), Seiso (Shine), Seiketsu (Standardize), and Shitsuke (Sustain).

The office gives guests a 360° tour of the Ajinomoto Office facilities. Guests can learn how practicing 5S maintains cleanliness and order in work areas and boosts the company’s work efficiency from day to day which you can also apply in your daily life.

Fun Cooking Games at the Cooking Plaza

Eating nutritious food is not enough. The cooking plaza teaches you how to properly prepare meals from start to finish using the 5Ms: Malinis, Masustansya, Masarap, Matipid, at Madaling Gawin through fun cooking games.

Sustainability in The Community

Reaching the community station, engage with our fun and interactive virtual games on trash picking and proper segregation. Get practical tips on how to care for your environment and improve the community you are a part of.

Opportunity to Be More

Fulfilling our vision for greater wellness of the people will require continuing education for the present and future generations. This virtual experience aims to be a creative and informative platform to learn more about food safety and sanitation, proper nutrition, and community sustainability.
